St. Aloisius contacts with St. Alexius Medical Center to provide hospice services to patients and families who are facing terminal illness.  It is a comprehensive team-oriented program of care that seeks to treat and comfort terminally ill patients and their families.   Hospice establishes pain management and symptom control as clinical goals, and understands that psychological and spiritual pain are as significant as physical pain.

Volunteers compliment professional staff by providing companionship, respite care and prayer support.  Through bereavement services, hospice supports family members of patients who have died for up to 13 months following the death.
