Senior Companions are healthy older adults who help other adults live independently. They provide support to family caregivers by assisting with grocery shopping and other daily living tasks necessary to maintain independence. Senior Companions become part of a team of caregivers by alerting doctors and family members to potential health problems. They also provide short periods of respite care to primary caregivers and help with therapy and exercise for adults with physical disabilities.
