AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer Sought

“AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965 and incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993, VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for more than 40 years.”

St. Aloisius Medical Center is a sponsor site for the AmeriCorps VISTA program. The VISTA volunteer in Harvey would assist the St. Aloisius Medical Center Community Volunteer Program, assisting in the development, implementation, and sustainability of various volunteer programs in the Harvey area.

 This position does provide a monthly financial stipend, educational award, and many other benefits associated with national service.
