The City of Harvey celebrated City Government week (April 7-11, 2008) with “City Trivia” questions on KHND with a winner each day of $20 in Harvey Bucks. On Friday we had an open house at City Hall.  We had our 3rd grade classes participate in the Mayor for a Day essay contest.  Our Mayor winners were announced Thursday, April 24th when we hosted the Regional meeting at the Eagles Club.  Steven Stulien & Christyn Knudtson were the winners.  Their day started with a tour of the city with Officer Faye Axt. They got to see the City shop, Water Treatment Plant, Landfill, Fire trucks and the City offices. The two Mayors and their families then attended the Regional meeting to read their winning essays and enjoy a roast beef supper.  Here they received a certificate presented by Mayor Grossman, a key to the City, a pizza certificate and a movie pass for their hard work.
