Faith in Action Program
Monday, June 9th, 2008The Faith in Action mission is to provide non-medical services to people in need through interfaith volunteers. The focus of the program is to integrate faith and health to help maintain a high quality of independent life for those with long-term health needs, especially people who are elderly or have disabilities.
We provide volunteers with training and match them with others who could use their help. Volunteer caregivers provide simple, basic assistance such as transportation to and from medical appointments. The local Harvey area Faith in Action volunteers have provided over 25,000 miles of medical transportation for people who may not have otherwise received needed services in the last two years.
Our Faith in Action program is overseen by the Central Dakota Ministerial Association.
